Every time I want to leave the room, Pipi will fly and hold on tight on my cloth or hair. When I'm already out of the room, she'll scream calling for me. It's really hard to leave this cutiepie... She makes me feel guilty even if I'm out just to pee. So if I want to leave my room, I give her a millet. This helps sometimes. :) She's the most bonded bird I have now and I love her to death! <3

I've no idea if she can catch on, but you might want to mix up the distraction food types. You don't want her to start associating 'millet' with 'I'm leaving'! If there's other food that'll capture her attention you might consider varying your offering. :)

Actually millet is getting less effective as a bribe these days, she can eat while flying now... ^^;
DeleteKeep up the good work. I enjoy your cartoons.

DeleteCute! Keiji starts screaming everytime I get up to go anywhere, and won't stop until I sit back again, but if he is out of his cage, he flies and lands on my head to accompany me. It started just with me, but now he does it with my parents too, he doesn't want any of his "flock members" go stray XD
ReplyDeleteHe is like a kindergarten teacher and you and your family as his students :D
