Description

LIFE WITH BIRDS is a web-comic strip about living with pet birds. The story can be funny, sad or heartwarming. It's a mix between personal experience and wild imagination of my life as an artist and a bird parent. All the characters in my comic are based on the real birds that I have/had. New comic is released once in 2 weeks here. Special bird comics (full page, several pages long) are posted on my Patreon for patrons only.

How dare you!

It all started when I used to bring Pocky from the outdoor colony cage back to my house in the afternoon. Sometimes I dropped by at my working room to check on Pipi or to take her food dish out.

Pocky was usually inside my t-shirt but sometimes he wanted out of it so I cuddled him on my palm to avoid him flying around and scare Pipi. In order to make him stay still I gave him head rubs, kisses... and Pipi was watching it from a far. Later she was getting curious with what I was doing and what I held with my hand. Soon it would be harder to keep her off my hands than to keep Pocky inside my hands. Lol. :D

Pocky has gone to the rainbow bridge but sometimes I still do this habit to see Pipi's priceless face when she finds nothing inside my hands. :P This is definitely an instant way to call her to fly to me. She will always come when I'm busy cuddling "something" in my hands. :P I also do it when I have a new toy/food to introduce to her. I like to raise her curiosity first and let her come see it by herself rather than just show it to her face directly. Sometimes this help the introduction of the new things. :)

Have you done it with your bird? Is the reaction similar? :D
Btw, it'll take just 2 more people to subscribe this blog before I hold another free sketch giveaway. So help me spread the words around about my bird comic if you like it, k? Thanks! :)

  3. Keiji gets jealous... of my male friends! When they come home and we're playing PS3, he sits on my shoulder, and if they try to pet him, he menaces them with his beak open and that "HHHH!" sound, and immediatly turns to me to ask for a kiss. He even shat on one of their heads and shoulders XD
Some years ago, I had two canaries, and whenever I was praising one of them, the other stared jealously and tried to make me notice him too.
