Pipi and Pellets

I don't know why my finches don't like the green pellets. It took them 2 weeks to finally eat the left over green pellets in their cup after their last resort staring at me with puppy eyes for millet didn't work. I used to give Pipi one tiny green pellet every once a while to make her get used to eat it, but every time it touched her tongue, she got "frozen" and would let it roll off her tongue. I don't know if it's just the color, or the taste. I haven't tasted my birds' pellets though, have you? :D

    I taste all my birds' foods, maybe that makes me weird ;) You may want to change out the pellets more often. They get stale and not as nutritious.

      I only give a bit at at time to keep them fresh :) I check it almost every hour or more often since well, they live in the same room where I work all day (my computer room).

    this is why Harrisons have uniform pellets all of the same colour - your birds don't then develop some weird habits about the colour and shape. Also less artificial colouring.
